Kamryn+David:Married 02.27.10

One word. Texas.Texas loves us and we love Texas.:)

We spent the morning with Kamryn, the bride while she got ready. My cosmetology skills came into play and I was able to do Kamryn’s hair for her. That was a lot of fun for me. This was also our new assistant/third photographer, Mike Perkins’ first wedding so he got to see what a full day was like. So after awhile, Mike and Mike went to go visit David while he finished getting ready. I stayed with Kamryn while she got dressed. After a bunch of running around on everyone’s part, we finally went downstairs for the Reveal. This was one of more fun ones that we have done because they were both emotional when they saw each other for the first time.

The ceremony was at the Red Rock overlook and we actually thought it was going to rain like crazy but we did not get a drop while out there. It was a small, inviting ceremony and it was beautiful. We did not stay out there very long because it was COLD! But after the ceremony, we headed to Maggiano’s for the reception. There were some very touching toasts and some fun dancing. It was a very intimate evening and we wish Kamryn and David the best.

Lindsay and Steve met us at the Springs Preserve on Valentine’s Day to do their engagement shoot. They were great sports because Mike and I had never been there before so we weren’t really sure what was there to take pictures of. We walked all over the park making sure to get as much variety as possible and I absolutely love Springs Preserve now. We had a great time with the two of them and we actually did something a little different on this shoot. We are experimenting with some video. I can’t promise that we will show it yet…but here’s to hoping.:)Thanks for a great time, Lindsay and Steve! You guys were awesome!

Hands down, my favorite shot from the session.

Las Vegas Wedding Photographer Mike Lichtenwalner Photography

You wanted it…you got it. Our first trash the dress session! Grace is a former bride and has since become one of my close friends so she was more than eager to do a trash the dress with us. Thanks to good ol’ El Nino, we got some much needed rain here in Vegas over the last couple weeks and we thought, ‘hmm…wouldn’t it be fun if we went to the dry lake bed while it is raining?’ haha. So…that’s what we did. We headed to the dry lake bed…but it wasn’t so dry anymore. We didn’t think to bring towels or boots or a tow truck. SO, we took Mike’s Toyota Camry out into a muddy desert and then we all got out of the car; Mike in his Nikes and me in my Etnies. HA.HA. The joke was on us with that one. After we had our fun there we were driving back and found a railroad track and an old train car so we got a couple more shots there. It was a great day and I seriously cannot wait to do another TTD!
